"Let us close with a deep focusing all together on the One, the one power that motivates, the one life that you are an expression of, the one love that colors everything into radiant beauty, the one peace that surpasses all understanding, the one joy that vibrates and resonates through the pores of the universe that you are part of. Continue your tasks of self-purification thus spreading this great light and being carriers of the Christ. The love that envelopes the universe, the permeates the universe, can be borne by your purified sould. You become acclimatized to do so. Let this love surge through you and be one with it. Be your God. Be the Christ." (PL #239)

"All created beings hang together on a chain of interdependence -- physically, emotionally, and spiritually. When the weight of dependence is put where it belongs -- on God, on His personalized aspect who is personally near you -- then you can create a healthy center of gravity anchored deep within your soul, for that is where He is to be found. His presence merges with your higher self, you truly become one." (PL #258)

"Even though you have strengthened your faith and your realization that this world is infused with God, few have as yet made personal contact with Him. He came to become human, so as to be always close to you in a very personal loving way. For most believers, God is a much less personal, a much more vague and general experience. And you know that you can experience only that which you can conceive of and believe.

"If you seriously long, pray for, and search for a realization of Jesus Christ's personal love for you, the answers will come forth. Perhaps the first answers will not be recognized as such. They may have something to do with specific barriers that prevent you from this experience, this reality. It may be new (or again old) material on your path, in your work that needs to be done for your purification process. But these are answers. And once the barriers begin to go, you will experience what it means to feel Jesus Christ's personal love for you."

"When you feel unworthy, unlovable, unacceptable, it is impossible to believe that Christ can love you personally, regardless of your present state of development. So you need to forge ahead and reestablish your self-acceptance and self-respect."

"It is also true that without at least a slight awareness that you are personally precious and beloved to the personified God -- Jesus Christ -- it is extremely difficult to accept your guilts, to find your real value. So what you need is a continuous double approach: your self-search, your determination to face all of your lower self, to understand all of your being with compassion and realism, on the one hand; and, on the other, your direct prayer and deep desire to feel Jesus' presence near you, His concern for you, his deep, abiding interest in your life, in every smallest detail of your life.

"As you thus proceed on your path, the glory that will come to you cannot be put into words. Nothing else is comparable with the knowledge that you are personally loved, cared for, never forgotten, and always protected by the Lord, no matter what momentary circumstances are." (PL #258

"Christ can be felt in person as a presence -- in His personification... To feel the presence of Jesus Christ as a person, that is an occasional grace that can come to a person unexpectedly, without knowing or understanding why." (PL #25)

"QUESTION: I would like to ask whether the Christ spirit is an all-pervading spirit like God or an individual spirit? "

ANSWER: It is exactly the same as with God. It must be because I have explained that the substance of Christ is the same substance as God's substance. It is all the divine substance. It is the same substance you have in yourself. Whether you call it divine substance, God's substance, or Christ's substance makes no difference. God has given most of this substance to His first creation, the spirit of Jesus Christ. All other beings have received some of this substance, and it is up to them to unfold it and enlarge it with the power given to them." (PL #25

"Christ is born every minute, every second, in time. Every new realization, every spurt of new consciousness, every breath of love, every change of attitude gives birth to the Christ, until all these many little lights that you light up in your own souls, spreading into others' souls, converge and emerge into one huge sea of light, into a sea of love, into a sea of intense joyous awareness."

"You discover a new oneness with each other... What was illusory separation turns out to be what it always was and really is, a oneness of consciousness, a love between various aspects of God.

"Each one of you is a beautiful aspect and individualization of God." (PL #239)

"What greater gift could you give to yourself than making an effort to create this channel to that in you which is the Christ? The Christ in you is your true identity, which knows all and fears nothing and lives forever. It is that you that is always bathed in light, that is a light body, an energy body, truly indestructible." (PL #239)

QUESTION: "How can one reconcile the word of Jesus when He said, 'My God, why hast thou forsaken me?'

ANSWER: "That is just the proof that Jesus did not know the entire task with all its implications as a man. He had to go through this darkness, through these terrible trials without knowing everything, as much as He did know otherwise. There is also proof in these words that Jesus Christ was not God, as some claim. And furthermore it is proof that Jesus, as a man, was not entirely aware of what He had to go through, why and what was the exact purpose of it all. Exactly in this very uncertainty lay the difficulty of his trials and hardships, and this was part of the plan, part of the task. His suffering was so intense because His intellect did not know all the facts. If He would have known beforehand the entire picture, it would have been much easier and the element of free will would not have been as strong. He had to prove that His trust in God was complete, as difficult as it was. With that, He did not only set an example to others, but it was, as I said, the most important element of the task He came to fulfill, namely the salvation." (PL #19)

QUESTION: "Did Christ retain in memory as a human being what he had to do and who He was? Did He have a realization of all that?

ANSWER: "Certain flashes came to Him later, but not all. If everything would have been completely open to Him, His task would not have been so difficult and so tremendously admirable. But part of it He had to know, and that He learned gradually." (PL #19)

QUESTION: "You said that the spirit of Christ was created as the highest. Am I to understand that this was an exception and that it was created that high and that He did not have to go through development and incarnations?"

ANSWER: "Never. No, but in this respect Christ is not the only one. There are many other beings in the spirit world who have not gone through the cycle of incarnation. Some of them have never been incarnated; some of them came freely once to fulfill a certain mission. Not every being in existence has to go through life on earth. Only those who were included in the so-called fall of the angels. And Christ was certainly not one of them. Christ was, as I said, the first creation of God, the most direct. The only difference between God and Christ is that God is the Creator and Christ is created. But otherwise God and Christ are one in substance and love and wisdom." (PL #19)
